tether your mind

Particles of life of others and your own
Like shrapnel, fill in your space and your mind
Sometimes you may lose your self out there
If you don't tether your mind.

Inspiration can fill you with anticipation
Ambition can drive you out the door
But a fine line between who you are
Is where you tether your mind

It's never easy from where you stand
To get beyond your own horizon
It's not easy to live out dreams
When your strong enough to plan to just get by

But dreams lie in simple things
And you will never find it
Unless you tether your mind
Find yourself...

GRAMBLE(from 2006)

1.A boy I was when I once was met
with the simplest of gods creation
what wonder did it really set
to see and what to reason

2.A beetle to watch, and from to learn
is nothing but a treasure
A creature so mighty,so firm
To watch and spend my leisure

3.Interesting a life it seemed to leed
but of only four days
To have a light upon its creed
to see in all its fancy ways

4.Go to the ant you lazy one
Once wise a king did say
watching such as them, gather a crum
thinking of the next day.

-.- A 13 year olds poem,In memory of the 8-A class of school in 2006

Fragility is not an excuse

If varificaton is the way to aptitude,
Your way is puzzeled,lost,confused
You search for catalists to hold you together
Its the part you choose not pull together
That folds the mind into particions untold

Its like diplomacy in politics
you choose which card to play
However bad your hand is,You play
For all is fair,in the world unfair
To complain, would be weakness and to fall.

The pictures of minds are memory,
Bliss or less or nothingness
Or filled with untold horrors
Inevitable thoughts you learn and deal
Your question, would be your next move

Goodmorning this is the next day
circumstance has presented itself already
Will you;against all odds, spend it on exotic dreams
That inspired you last night
Or will you go back to the same process, that life made you succumb too

Goodevening that day is done, and can you see the stains?
The process bleeds slowly on you
But then, your choices were always based on reason
Who can make judgement on best reason
and say where happiness lies for sure.

strength is amiss when you cover down
Strength is amiss even if you soldier on
Depending on,the factors that hold you back
from taking the very simple chance
the chance that seems to be amiss

Melomanic sessions

As a fresh and humble melomanic i cannot claim to a specific number of reasons as to why i like the melomanic sessions, but i will elaborately express my main appreciation for the sessions in this note.First and foremost it is the fact that it is for charity and i remember when it was initiated on the very first session,it was for a worthy very cause and continues on the same note.As I have always beleived that music should be used to help the less fortunate or any person in any need,As music is that powerful in having that comforting gesture not to mention the fact that it is a strong language that comes with a variety of genres.Music has worked in the past in inspiring and bringing people together and im most glad that even in an ever so commercialised world, where heart and soul of sound is lost, good music for the right purpose still survives. When artists make music in the aim of making it a place where people can go to when there is nowhere else to go:) Second of all,i love the vibe of simple sound and intent that is carried among the melomanics, the fact that it is very simple and abstract, makes it all the more unique and reminds me of those woodstock videos I used to watch, the way garage bands grew, recording music off the radio on to cassettes during school holidays at 9 years of age and the ages of music revolution which i wish i lived through, this is my glimpse to see that.As it is cool to see talent to be molded and given identity in competitions,I think it is the motive that matters most.Artists like Neil young, james tailor, bob dylon and even the smashing pumkins did not have amaizing concerts, but had the magic to put a smile on a face and make a person feel! I think most all of us had soundtracks for the many moments in our lives, come live out those soundtracks yet again at the sessions.Iv seen many amaizing bands in srilanka, that have an amaizing sound and awesome energy bands such as stigmata,5 minutes apart, and independent square,.But I think i would rather settle for this:)
